About
‘Many Musics, One City’ is a series of programs celebrating Bengaluru’s multifaceted musical history and heritage from 1st to 10th December as part of UnboxingBLR Habba.
The festival intends to showcase the breadth of musical cultures that Bengaluru has been home to over the last many decades, through an eclectic mix of programs for music enthusiasts and history buffs alike. The festival mirror’s the city’s heterogeneity by showcasing versatile musical genres, ranging from Carnatic music to fusion, rock, electronic and folk—all of which have permeated the city’s soundscape.
Audiences can look forward to guided museum tours dedicated to the Bengaluru music scene, lectures on the histories of music in Bengaluru, performances by cutting edge contemporary Bengaluru musicians in music presentations at iconic locations around the city. Some of the artists you can look forward to listening to are Alva Kuuto, Gauley Bhai, Vasu Dixit Collective and the Lathangi Sisters.
‘Many Musics, One City’ promises to be a journey through time and sound that celebrates Bengaluru’s unique musical identity.
