Volunteer Program

Join our Volunteer Community

The Indian Music Experience Museum’s Volunteer Programme has been running since 2017. The first batch of our volunteers began with taking tours of the Sound Garden – much before the main museum building opened to the public in 2018.

Our volunteers are our eyes and ears on the ground, interacting with our key stakeholders – the visitors on a regular basis. They are our Ambassadors and play an essential part in making our exhibits and collections more accessible to all our visitors. Some of the volunteers who range in ages from 15-82 have been volunteering their time with us for more than 5 years.

The IME Volunteer Program offers a chance to people passionate about music and the arts to contribute meaningfully to the Museum and gain exposure to the behind-the-scenes workings of a museum in a range of roles.

Our Volunteer recruitment drive takes place once a year between July and August. The Open Call is shared on the museum website and social media handles. For more information on volunteering, please write to specialprojects@indianmusicexperience.org
