IME invites you to ‘What If It Never Stops Raining’ – a music and poetry performance by Keno Langbein, bangaloREsident@Indian Music Experience (IME) in collaboration with @Joel Sakkari.
Keno is a songwriter, rapper and artist from Berlin whose work lies at the confluence of music, culture and activism. He has released several critically acclaimed albums that have entered the German music charts. Keno has been an artist-in-residence at the IME for the past six weeks. This performance is a culmination of Keno’s residency and offers us a glimpse into his time in India and with IME.
Joel Sakkari, a.k.a. ‘Sakre’, is a musician, beat maker and lead bassist of the Vasu Dixit Collective. He is known for crafting unique beats that blend South Indian cinema samples with neo-retro vibes.
The performance will also feature renowned artists Bindhumalini, Mamta Sagar and Ditty.
Bindhumalini is a versatile artist with roots in Karnatik classical music and a recipient of multiple awards. Ditty is an Indian independent artist and urban ecologist whose music is inspired by the natural world. Mamta Sagar is a Bangalore-based Kannada poet, writer, academic and activist.
