Calling all musicians for an experimenal jam with Gauley Bhai – transtraditional rock band born out a jam room in 2017! Whether you’re a professioanal or just starting out, you’re invited to join us for some improptu music making this Sunday, 23rd June. The jam will be followed by a Gauley Bhai concert.

Gauley Bhai was formed in in 2017 when a group of friends met in a jam room in Bangalore – Siddhant, Veecheet and Anudwatt from Kalimpong & Joe from Calicut. They began creating music that reflected their journeys of migration. The music drew from sounds of their childhood, growing up in small towns, and the fractures of life in a city.

The band describes their music as a combination of rock, contemporary ethnic & regional roots music, creating with the spirit of a jam band.

This program is part of IME’s World Music Day celebrations.
