IME Family Day with Amar Chitra Katha

Celebrate time with loved ones through music, art and storytelling

To celebrate the latest in their Visionaries Series – Musicians of India: Ragas and Rhythms, beloved comic publication Amar Chitra Katha comes down to the Indian Music Experience Museum for a day of wholesome fun for families of all kinds!

We have workshops in comic-making and storytelling for different age-groups, a walkthrough of the museum especially for families and an exciting quiz that will test your knowledge of all things comic and music! What’s more you might even stand a chance to win free copies of Musicians of India as well as some IME and Amar Chitra Katha goodies!

Events are spread out through the day. The workshops are free but have limited spots and so require prior registration. So come along and celebrate time with loved ones through music, art and storytelling!

The schedule for IME Family Day is as follows:

12:00 Noon: Stories, Sketches and Songs: A workshop for 5 to 9 year olds

Learn the basics of storytelling and animation with everyday objects

3:00 PM: Museum Walkthrough for Families

Entry: By Museum Ticket
Led by IME Volunteers

4:30 PM: My Comic, My Story: A workshop for 10 to 15 year olds

Learn how to make a biographical comic by weaving in aspects music
Entry: Free on prior registration
Facilitators: Abhirami Ganesh, Reena I. Puri

6:00 PM: Ragas and Rhythm: A Music Quiz

A chance to showcase your knowledge of music and Amar Chitra Katha books. Open to all.
Entry: Free
