A World Music Celebration ft. Dr. L. Subramaniam

This July, the Indian Music Experience Museum (IME) marks its seventh anniversary, a milestone celebrating its evolution from an ambitious 2019 vision into a vibrant cultural sanctuary. Having welcomed over 400,000 visitors, IME has become a beloved Bengaluru landmark, connecting communities through the power of music.

To honor seven years of resilience and milestones, IME is celebrating music’s ability to cross borders and build bridges. Fittingly, Bengaluru’s own global icon, Dr. L. Subramaniam, will lead a definitive world music ensemble.

Curated as a retrospective of the maestro’s career, the performance features seminal moments in India’s cross-over music history. Audiences will experience live renditions from his legendary album Conversations (featured in the IME galleries), the nostalgic theme music of the TV series Surabhi, and his evocative soundtrack for Mira Nair’s masterpiece, Salaam Bombay!
