Classical music ensemble inspired by birdsong

Wings of melody is a unique concert that celebrates birds and birdsong through an ensemble featuring some of the most well-known musicians of the city. Featuring freshly composed pieces of music based on classical ragas and inspired by birds, this concert presentation will be a meditative and immersive experience of music. Interspersed with visuals of nature and birds, and a narration that drives home the message of the importance of birds to our environment, this concert is a celebration of nature, beauty and coexistence.

Wings of melody is the culmination of a 4- month series of public programs associated with IME’s Birdsong exhibit.The series featured concerts, talks, workshops, nature walks etc. with the idea of bringing greater awareness about birds in our cities and our culture.
