IME’s Youth Advisory Board (YAB) is a group of young people between ages of 14-18 years who function as an advisory council in all areas of the museum’s work. This year’s cohort of 19 young advisors is presenting their first public programme this weekend as part of British Council’s YUVA in Culture Initiative. Hosted by YAB3 “On Air with Vasu Dixit” will delve deep into the life of Vasu Dixit and get a glimpse into his journey as an artist and creative professional. The audience will also get a chance to see him perform some of his most beloved songs unplugged. Each artist has a unique process special to them and their techniques. Join us while we sit down with Vasu Dixit for a conversation and explore his approaches to music through his soulful tunes.

Vasu Dixit is a composer, musician in equal measure. His craft brings many nuances of art into one space. Vasu is the lead singer of the band Swarathma and also creates music of his own through the Vasu Dixit Collective (VDC). Vasu’s open-throated voice, his rich vocal style, wide range, and deep passion is powered by a free-spirited celebration of life, whether he sings with VDC, Swarathma or on his own. Vasu has also worked as an actor and film director predominantly in the Kannada movie industry.
