Museums For All – Accessible Museums for Children with Neurodiverse Needs
The Indian Music Experience Museums in partnership with Rereeti Foundation presents the second panel discussion in the Museums for All series — ‘Accessible Museums for Children with Neurodivergent Needs’.
Children with neurodivergent needs are often secluded from other children due to their inability to cope up and be in pace with others for both academic and cocurricular activities. Going out to visit different places of interest becomes challenging as the facility provided to make the experience an easy one is not available.
The panel discussion will contemplate on how museums can take initiatives to ensure children with neurodivergent needs feel more accepted and included by introducing special amenities and guidelines.
Panelists:
1. Dr. Sowmya Sanak Athreya, Director, Svarakshema Foundation
2. Dr. Adity Gudi ,Head of Admin, IME
3. Ar Shivani Shah, Research Assistant, Project Svaritha
