Digi Tala

About

IME and Prohelvetia, Newdelhi invite you to Digi Tala, a sonic exploration of Indian percussion beats and their rhythmic structures with live electronics by Serafin Aebli, our Pro Helvetia artist-in-residence, in collaboration with Sumana Chandrashekar and Adarsh Shenoy.

Serafin Aebli is a composer and sound artist from Switzerland known for his interdisciplinary approach to music and sound. He explores new dimensions of sound in different contexts, pushing the limits of technical possibilities and artistic expression.

Sumana Chandrashekar is a trained Karnatik vocalist and a Ghatam player. She has worked on experimental music projects and is an independent researcher pursuing research into the Ghatam and other aspects of Karnatic music.

Adarsh Shenoy is a Bangalore-based tabla player and an artist of All India Radio and Doordarshan.
