While here he will be researching sonic culture in Bangalore and trying to learn as much as he can about the sounds and music of the city. This Shukravara Katte, Thomas invites everyone to an informal hang at IME’s Filmy Geet Gallery as he shares some of his favourite pieces of Indian music! Thomas will also discuss the stories of how these songs entered his life. In turn, members of the audience are invited to come prepared with some of their favourite music to share and discuss too.\n\n\n\n\n \n\n2 PM onward: Board Games Katte with Beneathatree\nBeneathatree is a budding community initiative that makes research, coding and games more accessible to everyone. Facilitators from Beneathatree will hold space in IME’s Melting Pot Gallery for anyone interested in playing or learning about board games. From age-old favourites like Chess and Ludo to contemporary board games like Catan and Wingspan, there is room for everyone to sit and play a game or two.\n\n\n\n\n \n\n4:00 PM: Free Rudra Veena Concert with artist Murali Mohan Gowda\nIf you have never witnessed the Rudra Veena being played, here’s your chance as classical musician Murali Mohan Gowda takes over IME’s Instrument Gallery. Watch Murali explore rhythm, blend ragas and give us a glimpse into the history and legacy of this iconic instrument.\n\n\n\n\n \n\n5:00 PM: All-language Antakshari\nBaithe baithe kya kare… karna hai kuch kaam? Aao end the day at IME with an all-ages round of Antakshari facilitated by IME Volunteers! Singing in all Indian languages welcome.
